Born in South Jersey, Maya Arrian Vega, also known as Vega the Visionary, is an east Atlanta native and proud HBCU grad of Fort Valley State University. These days, Maya is a tech girlie by profession and creative by passion. She loves pouring into people to show up as the best version of themselves. Channeling her favorite poem “Our Deepest Fear,” as Maya continues to walk her path with purpose, she finds joy in inspiring others to embark on their own journeys of self-discovery. A natural light to those around her, Maya always makes it clear that she wants you to use yourself and the gifts God gave you, to its fullest capacity, by walking in your own purpose.

Initially, the fear of expression held Maya back as she tried to find the balance of being and presenting her authentic self. As she discovered herself and her style, that shift of liberation changed everything. Now, she views fashion as an outlet, making a statement and starting the conversation without having to say a word. Her style lives in the balance between feminine and masculine energy: structured but soft, strong but never hard. She aims to feel beautiful and powerful in the same breath.

Since attending Fly Girl Meet Ups and cultivating the connections she has made, Maya has felt even more inspired and empowered to officially launch her business in styling and creative direction to continue walking in her purpose. There’s power in community and surrounding yourself with people you see as a reflection of who you are and where you strive to be. Pushing with her brand Vega the Visionary, the mission is simple: “Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder, let’s bring that Vision to life.”
